๐Ÿ‘‡๐ŸปMigrant children of labourers in the Indian district of Rohtak face difficulty in getting admission to government schools under new regulations. Rohtak district elementary education officer Diljit Singh said their department is working to "find solutions to their problems" and is considering provisional admissions while documentation is sorted out.,๐Ÿ’ฏ

Rohtak: Neetu Manjhi, 15, a daughter of a Dalit migrant laborer from Bihar, has been running from pillar to post to get๐Ÿซ admission in class 9th at a local government school but she has been told to deposit mandatory documents like family ID.๐Ÿ“ƒ

"I completed my class 8th from a local government school but was not able to get admission in class 9th due to imposition of new norms for getting admission like family ID. I belong to Madhubani district of Bihar and do not have any documents of Haryana so cannot fulfill the conditions of family ID", said Neetu, whose father Lal Sada is a rickshaw puller and whose mother Kailash Devi is a domestic house worker.✍๐Ÿป
Sharing her aspirations, Neetu said that she wanted to become a doctor and do good in her studies but new document norms seem to have made the task more difficult. "When we came to Rohtak and saw the standard of education, I was happy and satisfied about the quality of education and felt that my dream of๐Ÿค— becoming a doctor would be achieved but no longer now", said Neetu, the youngest among five siblings.✅

Similarly, Manjeet Paswan,14, son of a migrant laborer from Bihar, is also struggling to get admission in a local government school in class 6th due to a lack of documentation. "I went to a๐Ÿซ government school to seek admission in class 6th several times but were told to come with documents like family ID, birth certificate, caste certificate", he said while adding that last year also he struggled to get admission but had to remain out of school.๐ŸŽ’

Manjeet said that he had come to Rohtak last year and wanted to get admission but was told to come next year and now conditions of documentation have been stopping his way from getting admission.
Naresh Kumar, a social activist who runs an informal evening school for migrant children, said that there are many such migrant students from Bihar, UP, MP who are facing these issues in getting๐ŸŽฏ admission from this session. "Generally, parents of these children who are⬇️ labourers have inaccuracies in their Aadhar card and not linked to their mobile numbers so for any verification issues crop up. They also have not registered the birth of their children back in their home states and face problems in getting birth certificates. There is a need to simplify the documentation process for admission to these migrant children", Kumar added.๐Ÿ™„

According to the education department, documents to deposit;
-Last school SLC
-Birth Certificate of child
-Aadhar Card of child
-Aadhar Card of Father of child
-Aadhar card of mother of child
-Family ID.
-Account Number of Child
-Caste Certificate (if reserved)

Please think about our lower cast people and about their children ๐Ÿ˜” to get higher education.
Don't forget that all the children are equal,
Be treated equally ๐Ÿง‘๐Ÿป‍⚖️.

There should be no discrimination on the basis of anytype.

Hope you understand the problem ๐Ÿ˜”.
